A little about us

An around the world trip that turned in to a dream! Chris and Katherine rebuilt an old ruins in the historical Colonial Zone and turned it in to Island Life Hostel. To learn the history of Island Life check out our blog!

THE BUILDING

Island Life Hostel is situated in a 400 year old Colonial Building just one and a half blocks away from the famous Plaza Espana. As a UNESCO heritage building it was painstakingly restored to its original glory.

  • Island life was one of the best hostel’s I’ve stayed in. Very social atmosphere with a bar, pool and pool table. The owner really takes great care to make it a fun and enjoyable place to spend time. The rooms are comfortable and clean with air conditioning at night.
