9 Reasons (In Photos) Why Island Life Backpackers Is The Best Hostel In Santo Domingo

Number 1: Our dog is cuter than your dog…

1st Reason

This one is Schui (short for Schumacher)!

Number 2: Make that two dogs, actually.

2nd Reason

And our second hostel dog is a street dog called Hamilton we adopted. (He comes and goes because he’s wild at heart and he knows just about every other dog in Santo Domingo).

Number 3: We have got a pool and sun terrace

3rd Reason

The perfect place to cool off when it gets hot (and it does get hot in Santo Domingo!)

Number 4: We also have the friendliest, most helpful staff on the island and attract the best guests.

4th Reason

What can we say; greatness breeds greatness! ?

5: We have got hammocks aplenty…

5th Reason

For when you feel like swinging and chillaxing.

Number 6: We’ve got rooms to sort all budgets

6th Reason

Contact us today for a private or dorm experience at the best hostel in Santo Domingo.

Number 7: We are perfectly located to book breathtaking beach day trips…

7th Reason

Anyone fancy heading to the crystaline waters Cayo Arena for the day? We can help with that, of course.

Number 8: We have put *A LOT* of love in to this hostel…

8th Reason

We didn’t always look this good you know! But restoring this colonial building and turning into a hostel ourselves has been a rewarding project. Check the rest of our blog for a run-down of the process.

Number 9: We were awarded the best hostel in the Dominican Republic 2017, btw…

9th Reason

Hence why we think running the best hostel in Santo Domingo is the best job in the world! When will you come and visit us?
